Why this product exists

Advora eliminates fragmented spreadsheets, phone chains, and disconnected software by consolidating agency management, interpreter scheduling, case-linked trial communications, multi-stage job matching, and financial reconciliation into a single cross-platform platform.

Advora proves Krenno Labs' ability to architect and ship an enterprise-grade, multi-sided domain platform across five device surfaces from a unified Flutter codebase. The platform demonstrates our deep engineering capabilities in regulated legal-tech workflows—including real-time WebSocket communication architecture, multi-tiered visibility algorithms, DST-aware timezone engines, fintech integrations (Plaid), and automated CI/CD infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.

  • Municipal, district, and federal court systems requiring certified language interpretation
  • Court interpretation agencies managing multi-site and multi-language interpreter rosters
  • Court administrators, language access coordinators, and procurement officers
  • Certified independent and freelance legal language professionals
  • Legal operations teams and law firms coordinating interpreter resources for court proceedings
The story

Challenge, approach, solution

01

The Challenge

Due process in legal proceedings depends heavily on timely, accurate court interpretation for individuals with limited English proficiency (LEP). However, the industry was constrained by two sides of the same broken system: agencies lacked real-time visibility into job pipelines, status transitions, and interpreter capacity; while interpreters faced fragmented job boards, unclear schedules, payment reconciliation delays, and lack of specialized tools. In a high-stakes environment where scheduling errors carry severe legal consequences, the market required a unified, enterprise-grade digital platform capable of serving both agency command workflows and interpreter field operations under strict legal compliance.

02

Our Approach

Krenno Labs engineered Advora as a unified multi-surface ecosystem rather than two disconnected products. We mapped the entire lifecycle of court interpretation engagements—from initial job creation with language certifications, modality rules, and time-decaying pool exposure stages to courtroom check-in, real-time messaging, and instant invoice reconciliation. Using Flutter as the unified client framework, we delivered native experiences for iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Web from a single Dart codebase. Architectural discipline was enforced by separating core REST transactional services from high-throughput real-time WebSocket messaging on Microsoft Azure.

03

The Solution

Advora provides a complete operational and professional platform across two synchronized surfaces: an Agency Command Center featuring real-time pipeline analytics, multi-stage visibility rule controls, court-aware calendar views, and action center feeds; alongside an Interpreter Workspace providing intelligent job matching, interactive earnings performance dashboards, Plaid banking links, and W-9 tax compliance management. Both surfaces are connected via a tri-modal real-time chat hub (job threads, direct interpreter messaging, and group teams) with in-app PDF and image viewer capabilities.

Experience

The Experience

An agency administrator opens Advora on mobile or desktop to immediately view live pipeline analytics—open postings, hired interpreters, closed assignments, revenue totals, and modality breakdowns. They can configure job visibility rules across three time-decaying stages, inspect timestamped activity logs, monitor action items, or drill into case details. Simultaneously, an interpreter receives an instant push notification on their phone or desktop app for a matching assignment. They review job details, location mapping via Google Maps, and modality rates before accepting. On court day, both parties communicate through context-linked chat threads with native PDF document viewing and real-time status updates. Interpreters manage their earnings, track unpaid balances, and sync schedules with Syncfusion calendar views, while court administrators maintain full compliance auditing.

Engineering

How it's built

Advora uses a feature-first modular client architecture built on Flutter and GetX, communicating with a dual-service backend on Microsoft Azure. Client code is structured into self-contained feature modules (Dashboard, Job Management, Calendar, Action Center, Messaging, Earnings, Settings), each containing its screens, reactive controllers, route bindings, and domain models. Real-time messaging is handled by a dedicated SocketManager singleton that maintains a persistent WebSocket connection to the Azure Chat API across the full application lifecycle. A platform-adaptive routing engine dynamically renders mobile or desktop UI variants based on device context while sharing controllers and business logic. Timezone conversions use a bundled IANA database for client-side DST calculations, and local storage employs a dual-layer Hive and SharedPreferences approach.

Decision

Single Flutter Codebase for 5 Device Surfaces

Serving mobile field interpreters and desktop court administrators required multi-platform availability. Developing 5 separate native apps would fragment feature parity and inflate maintenance costs.

100% logic reuse across iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Web with native performance and platform-appropriate UX.

Decision

Separation of Core REST API and WebSocket Chat Service

High-frequency real-time chat traffic requires different scaling characteristics than transactional CRUD requests for jobs and accounts.

Independent cloud scaling on Azure, ensuring chat volume bursts never degrade core business operations.

Decision

App-Lifetime Singleton WebSocket Manager

Tying WebSocket connections to individual chat screens causes message loss and inaccurate unread badge numbers when users navigate away.

Continuous background message listening and instant navigation-wide unread badge updates.

Stack

Advora is built on a high-performance cross-platform Flutter architecture powering native applications across five surfaces (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Web). The backend infrastructure is hosted on Microsoft Azure, utilizing separate REST API and WebSocket chat services to decouple high-frequency communication traffic from transactional data handling. State management and routing are governed by GetX, while Syncfusion and fl_chart provide enterprise data visualization.
